    Steering shudder

    Hi All
problem with steering shudder at over 80kph.
Have changed Swivel bearings, radius arm bushes, Panhard bush's, tie rod arms, balls linkages, pittman arm and linkage, steering damper and wheel bearings. Any other ideas after all this please

    Hi
I had the same problem swapped my tyres solved.
Borrow a set a least to eliminate the problem.

Double check the swivels in particular the 'top mushroom' component may not only need to be adjusted down by removing shims, but it can, as mine did, wear side to side in the swivel housing it fits into.

I replaced the pre-load cap not the swivel housing.

    Steering shudder

Had this problem with my nissan patrol. Tires were feathered on the front due to poor balance and wheels out of alignment. I cross rotated them, balanced and wheel alignment and its much better. I also checked bearings tie rod ends and changed some worn bushes
Feathered tires will take time to run true again, if ever. In some cases they need to be replaced. Thankfully mine seem to be getting better
