On a MY12 the flasher can is in the dash fuse box(I'd expect them to be the same).
Top left next to the intermitant wiper relay and above the 3 standard relays.
It's a Lucas 4 pin unit so should be right at Repco.
G'day all, I'm working night shift tonight and as I turned in to my workplace I noticed that my indicators weren't working, hazards also. I have checked all the fuses, expecting a quick & easy fix so I can drive home safely and back to work tomorrow night- all the fuses are intact and there doesn't actually appear to be one dedicated to the indicators anyway according to the owner's handbook. Don't have the workshop manual at work of course.
I'd appreciate it if someone can tell me where the relay / flasher unit is located, there's a repco a couple of doors up from work so I might be able to get a generic replacement in the morning before heading home.

I'm all but certain that LR didn't bother changing much from old defenders...
I'm all but certain of this continuity because just in Saturday I had the centre dash of my 2010 tdci out doing a stereo usb change up and having the hazard switch disconnected cancelled out indicators from working....
Your problem is likely to be the hazard switch more than the relay
I'll have to do some searching but you can do a jumper over ride that rules out the hazard switch and keeps the indicators working ( easy get home option)

I read the linked thread- unfortunately couldn't open the pictures- certainly sounds like the hazard switch is likely to be the culprit. The indicators still flash with the remote locking so I guess that rules out 8 simultaneous bulb failures. Unfortunately there's no way I'm going to be able to pull the hazard switch out and bridge connections before driving home in the morning so it'll have to wait a day or so, will use my wife's car to get back to work tomorrow night. Thanks for the helpful info as always.

I had the same problem. Turned out that the wires behind the hazard switch behind the dash had some how worked themselves off.
Simple to fix if not a bit fidily.

I went past ULR yesterday and ordered a new hazard switch- unfortunately they didn't have one in stock- the wires all seem intact.
