    Cab rear sliding window felt?

Hi, I have a perentie with a cab. The rear sliding windows rattle as they all seem t do, and I have bought replacement felt for them (at $220!).
    1. Ive no idea how to replace them.. do I need to remove the window? The guy selling it seemed to suggest you try to slide it in under the glass which does not sound easy.

    2. I have now found out you can get a rubber flock kit to replace the felt: GO Window Channel Kits but too late I guess!

    3. I also wish to replace the corner windows, can you do this without buying the tool for inserting the sealing rubber (windscreen fillet tool I believe it is called)?

    Thanks in advance
    Jon

A few yrs. ago I bought some felt from I think a trimming place, paid $20 or so. Just ring around. Then took the complete rear window out. I had the tray off so could access it. Still a merde of a job putting all the pop rivets in & sealing it, but it worked a treat. I could then hear the old 200 rattling along. If I was to try it again I really would try to slide it in using the glass as a 'tool' to feed it along the track.

The tool isn't expensive Auto Windshield Window Glass 90? Double Ended Swivel TIP Locking Seal Strip Tool | eBay

I made one years ago out of a piece of a wire coathanger & an old file handle but I'll probably buy the correct tool next time.

Here is an option: Garrison Outfitters

If that doesn't work, they (Garrison Outfitters) also sells through MudStuff.

Bazzle, how did you replace it? Just slide it under the glass?

The main reason I bought new felt was that the guy told me that most people who used felt from spotlight were back in a few months......!

Well I replaced the felt; used welding wire to pull it under the glass and was not difficult. No need to remove the window which would have been a big job for so simple a fix. Thank goodness no rattles and slides well. Only needed one roll of the stuff, will try to return the other roll given it's $110!. (I see you can buy the same from the UK for $40+postage.)
