Pulled the roof liner out, ran some cables under the front bit, and now I have a Blackvue dashcam with no dangling wires.
Yesterday, I tapped off all the power wires for the Blackvue.

I've just done a similar thing to mine (although I never thought to take a half and half photo :D).
I think you were at the Yulara resort at the same time as us, Mahn!
I was in reception sorting out our booking and when I got back to the Defer, my wife, who was driving, said that there was another Defender with "AULRO" plates parked next to her!
I would have waved, or said hello, but you'd obviously moved off by the time I got back to the car.
I'm still discovering lots of central Australia in/on the Defender!
I've been a bit idle since coming back from Cape two years ago but with a 5 month trip on the horizon it's time to start gearing up again.
So today I rewired my Carling switch; Winch Isolator to a simpler solution (the last one was blowing fuses) by ordering the right part, which i did not have time for before I left for Cape.

Also installed a rear View camera on the Deefer, centred it above the rear door, overlooking the rear tyre. This allows us to see all the corners for little ones and to see the distance behind when reversing into a carpark.
And started to make a list off additions we need before we head off to the Simpson + Madigan Line, VIC, SA, WA and Uluru for 5 months.
ECU Remap - need to look into this, I see tombie talking about BAS, I'll have to do some searching.
Additional Fuel Tank
Behind seat water tank
APT Diff Protectors. (replacing the one QT i have)
install the Nugget Diff breathers that have been in the shed for the last 2 years.

Fitted 2 Jerry can racks to my Rhino rack.
Fitted a 600 Watt Pure sine wave inverter to my second battery in the rear of the 110.
Fitted a Mud Stuff rear cargo net to the ceiling in the back of the vehicle.
Purchased an Alpine ILX 007E double din head unit (Apple car play).
More jobs tomorrow.

I cancelled my BFG AT KO2 purchase and just bought a set of Terrafirma Anthracite alloy rims and Khumo Road Venture MT 245/75/16s. (X5) from Sydney 4x4's new Airly beach outlet at the Whitsundays.
$1800 for the lot as they were fitted to their show Defender. Mint condition and too good a deal to pass up.
Photos to follow once I drive down and fit them on Friday.
Ken
These are the wheels and tyres I'm fitting for my Cape and Simpson trips.

Nice wheels. I like that style. I have the sawtooths and thinking of going to 255/85 so I can keep them. (Instead of 265/285 wide)
Sent from my ZTE Blade Q Lux using AULRO mobile app
Ken,
Are you aware that a 245/75 is smaller in size (4%) than standard fitment?
S
Are you aware that those tyres are smaller than the factory tyres rolling diameter?
Not such a good deal as your revs will be higher, and your speedo out even more than it was on standard size rubber.
Factory - 235/85-16 is 804.4
New - 245/75-16 is 772.4 (32mm smaller)
Your fuel consumption will be up, your diff clearance reduced and your speedo out by about 12km/h.
Odometer will also be out by about 4%..
