    One problem with have a roof top conversion and the lack of headroom for any seats that raise the seating position.

    White Cluster Facia

    WooHoo!

    My White Cluster Facia in KPH and clock face arrived from the UK just now.

    I’ve just got to sweat blood trying to find the right white tint to white out the ‘Diesel’ font by the fuel tank display as I’m a 98RON type of bloke.

    They wanted upwards of $500 to do a one-off just to remove the Diesel font. Even I couldn’t justify that vs tape or white out over the font.

    More photos when fitted but may be a while as I’ve the whole dash pulled apart sorting out old wiring etc after removing the roof rack and it’s electrical needs.

    Optimill Tuesday!

    I’ve just been fitting some of my new delivery of Optimill gear from the UK which arrived today.


    Billet porn, theft proof (ish), beautifully made, and half the weight of the cast OEM gear.


    I fitted the Heater controller knobs and sliders, and rear door hinges today. I know one of the sliders is upside down, but a man can only pull his dash apart so many times in one life time. It can wait.


    Re the rear door hinges, I’m really happy with them, and I was very surprised (or not) to find a common issue of the lower OEM support hinge broken on my vehicle.


    You can’t tell till you remove the door or have a major failure, so I’m glad I swapped them out, and I’m really happy with the new look either way, and they’re maintenance free.


    Now to do the four door hinges, new door handles and the 6 stream, high pressure front windscreen washer unit.
