What did you do to your Puma today?

They're an interesting concept... Something Emma and I have been considering since fitting the exBox.

Observed that "Easy" access involves spinning off a wing nut, and loosening another one. Likely to result in lost Wing nuts!

In that time I can pop the seat, slide the panel - and not a cut be made in the vehicle...

I cogitated when was the last time I actually used my Jump leads - it was on my Sons first car - that's 2010.

Our First Aid Kit and Fire Extinguisher are reach and grab items - not in a box which can potentially be crushed shut in an impact..

I don't think I personally would cut the side out of the seat box for such occasions..

I like the concept of seat storage. The wing nuts, do they clear the door skin?
Alternative could be using some elastic webbing to keep things in place.
Would make for quicker access for first for example?

I've gone in thru the top on mine, I think that if you cut the side out, the usable sapce would be even less.
Put it in perspective, in my under driver's seat box, I can fit (albeit very squishy!):
Snatch strap, winch extension strap, tree protector, Small hatchet, knife, basic spanners, a pair of pliers, a rag, a winch controller with cable, a pair of gloves, some ratchet straps.
I don't think you could realistically fit more in with a side entry, if anything the usable space would be less as it would all fall out the side and never fit back in again unless you take the top off anyway!
The idea is cool though. Was the metal manufactured yourself or was it purchased? Looks very professionally done.

Today I went all out and fitted the MC Hitch pin to the 90 - hooked up the camper and pulled it out ready for our getaway this weekend...

I bought the kit from 4x4 Industries via eBay.
The wing nuts are captive via a clip inside the seat box and on a long thread. They won't fall off. They clear the door easily.
Again, this mod is of use to me as my Recaro seats are bolted to the seat box top, with no ability to remove them as per the factory set up.
I'm really happy with the end result for my needs.

Are you happy with the McHitch set up?
I'm thinking of changing my DO35 hitch for one to suit my off road van.
As I'm by myself, it looks to be an easier way to connect to the tow vehicle. I'm only ever a cm or so out, but it generally takes a few attempts to get it to latch.
Compounded by the lack of a central reversing camera on the Defender.

They're a great hitch and work very well.
I've gone and changed over all the trailers etc here and won't be moving away from them any time soon..

Today I fitted these rear passenger door opening extender brackets.
I use my passenger area for my fridge, dog, bird and stores when traveling, so this allows the doors to open quite a bit more and easier access to inside, installing or removing bulky items such as the fridge or storage trunks.'
Sourced from British Off Road via eBay. As usual, apologies for the picture orientation.
