None of the screws were done up properly either. We could tell just by looking at it that they hadn't put it back properly. If they had we wouldn't have pulled it out and seen the damage so yeah idiots.

Can you tell us what the part number is?

They're saying they didn't remove the dash and won't replace it but will repair it. We're trying to work out the cost involved to determine if we want the muppets touching the car again or to wear it as a learning experience and never set foot in there again.

Installed a set of these blades on the D90.
Order them online on Friday arvo & picked them up from Post Office Tuesday, speedy!

Very easy to install & with all this wet weather around it was not long waiting to tests them, very impressed.

    Cheers

No worries Justin I called them and it's a $1200 part. Also called consumer affairs who advised that under the law what they break they have to replace. So instead of dropping it off for 'fix' I'm taking it in for inspection. Then I guess it's up to the manager to decide how hard we have to fight but it's a biy hard to deny that they've taken things apart on the dash when we can hear loose bolts rattling around every time we go through a roundabout.

Yep and I'm up for that at some point it appears as I just got steamrolled at the dealer. They are adamant that the dash didn't need to come out for the job of replacing the floor and were NOT going to come to the party. And in a super stressed state and on my own I ended up agreeing to their plastic weld fix

And... I'm now driving a disco sport

That's including dealer markup so probably significantly cheaper direct from the UK.

If anyone has instructions for refitting the dash can they post them or send them to me. Apparently I'll be refitting the dash and tightening up all the loose screws this weekend. 🤔
