All done, and I’m really happy.
I wish there were an alloy brake fluid reservoir with a window to replace the cheap plastic unit.

I thought I’d change over my awning so out with the Echo 4X4 270 Deg awning which I’ve sold, and in with the new item from ARB.
Their new aluminium housed spring loaded side awning, no more mongrel zips for my injured hands to fumble with, and 100% waterproof housing.
16KG so a lot lighter than the 270 Deg unit.
Looks great as well, I’m more than happy with this addition and it’s great to have your own 6’3 Ox of a Fitter and Turner in the family to bolt it all up as well!
Thanks Jordan!

I thought I’d update my upgraded longer side mirror arms which have woeful powder coating and tend to fold in when a truck etc pass with these things of beauty from Design and Development Engineering in the UK.
I forget who, but someone here has already fitted these to their Defender and spoke highly of them. I think they’re a no brainer if you tow anything.
I purchased the last pair in stock, but I’m sure Bryan will machine up more soon and pictures once they arrive from the Mother country and are fitted up.
Im heading off bush/beach to the Nth West Coast of Tassie for the week with the Defender and ADF Haulmark 750Kg trailer camping, so hopefully they will be here when I get back for next week.👍
Best wishes all.
Ken

hi Ken
The early ones that were manufactured didn't stop vibration and folding back--- see below Bryan reply when I asked about movement
"Our standard MK1 versions had 25kg of force holding them in which is fine for the standard length but when you add another 100mm of extension the wind resistance on the mirror head can overcome the spring force and they fold in and vibrate.... The next version has 60kg of force but that does not mean over double the resistance because of the length of the arm at maximum extent. Looking at the mathes and forces we think the arm will withstand 2.5 to 3kg of wind resistance or force at the mirror head to move the arms in. This should be enough and yet still let them fold in if they take a knock from a tree "

Hi Ken
I have a set with the original mirrors ( you have to make sure all bolts are tight ) to prevent vibration .
Did over 2k with them extended and could not fault them
It would have been nice if they were 50 mm longer for the size of my van, may be why they have designed their mirrors----not a major problem
With the mirrors that they have i don't know if the extra length (90degree ) to original upright can be effected by forces (air ) on the pivotal hinge

Mirror arm porn.
Design and Development Engineering from the UK, superb service, 5 days delivery to Tassie from the UK, stunning quality!
I changed over the 4 Land Rover door hinge Cheeseum bolts and nuts for stainless in the door hinges while there as well. I’m going to replace with Exmoor Trim or other quality British bilit hinges soon, mine are boring me.
Im really happy with these new mirror arms and the Wolf unbreakable mirrors.

Not very dramatic, but important:
New door seals all round on my 2012 110 Defender.
It’s getting on 10 years old so I thought it’s time to replace these items.
The service from British 4WD in Tassie was superb.
Ordered front door seals via eBay yesterday, on my vehicle today.
Amazing!
