    2.2 Puma EGT Sensor

    Hi all
I' m fitting an EGT display and probe tomorrow. Where's the best place to mount the probe, upstream of the turbo? And has anyone got a photo of where they mounted theirs please.
    TIA Ian

Before the turbo would be more accurate, but more work to do.

    Cheers,

Mate upstream is always best. There is on 2.2 models however a bung in the top of the manifold you can see on top of the heatshield . It could be used for convenience sake but allow up to maybe 200degrees drop across the turbine. So add 200 degrees for upstream temp.

    Thx Justin/Tim
there is a bung and locking grommet that came with the sensor kit so hopefully I can utilise it all to make it a bit easier to fit before the turbo. Doing a 2 week trip with GCLRO in a few weeks, so it will be interesting to see what sort of temps the truck runs at.
    Thanks Again Ian
