Re-spray time with a view to selling

I'm doing some final work on my 1989 Perentie wagon in preparation for a respray. This is my second rebuild since I bought it in 2001.

The first time I decided on Zambezi silver. However I did the usual defender thing and didn't wash it or do anything else to preserve the paint. So the clear peeled off. Now it's respray time. I wished I picked white.

I'm a novice spray painter so I find metallic a real pain to get right. I can do it but will take longer.

An alternative is go back to camo. I would do a desert cameo. Being flat it's a lot easier and quicker.

However, this 110 is being sold. It's got some nice features that are more likely to appeal to an enthusiast. Given the Perentie wagons at auction cost about $25k on the road I will be asking a lot more than a county of a similar age. Especially as mine has extras like power steer, RFSV/LSD front diff, turbo etc.

So looking for opinions on which colour would sell better. I have the paint for both colour options so cost is not relevant. Silver would probably appeal to more people than cameo.

So shiny silver or tough truck desert cameo?

    Thanks

Olive drab, or flat khaki. Has the tough camo connotations, but none of the actual camo cringe-factor.

It's a good Middle ground I think. Your perentie is a statement, Silver is just so bland nowadays I think.

    Just My opinion.

    Desert sand

We had a landrover when I was kid in the 60s, I think its called desert sand, similar to the picture attached, maybe a little more yellowish. No need for metalic, and its something a bit different from white. Plus theres Keswick green which is a great color. good luck with the paint job cheers simmo

Thanks for the suggestions. I think desert cam looks good. The SRVs on Grays recently were desert cam.

Light/Abrams tan base, with tan and green over.

Thanks. I have the paint already for both options.

That 6x6 looks a good job though. Probably reasonable value.

I would go camo Pete. The wagons look good in camo. I reckon you will get a better price too.
