Have a chat with Fred Smith in Bayswater, I know he has been getting engineering approvals for some of the work he has been doing.

I know the link is through Les Richmond, but I've known Bill for many years and he is a super nice and switched on fellow. Well worth contacting. Don't hold it against him that he is a VW enthusiast.

    Thanks Ivars

Unfortunatley Bill has never done these assessments on conversions before. Im chasing someone who has, i know there are a lot of the mungo conversions down here that would have had a vic engineer go over them.

I would contact Mulgo. Surely he would be on top of this? I thought his conversions came with an Engineering Certificate? Maybe only for NSW? Some "approved persons" are qualified for multiple states.

I googled and found a list of Victorian Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme people (attached) which should help, unfortunately doesn't say which codes they can do. The national vehicle code is LH11 - Campervan, Motorhome Conversion.

In Qld for my (DIY) pop top, Qld transport also required fixed cooking facilities, fixed table, fire extinguisher, plate with seating positions etc as per the TMR document attached. I'm not sure about Vic but assume you would need similar. Some more info from mine here - http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-t...ml#post2221941

    Good luck,
    Alan

    Thanks Alan

Yeh Dan does supply a cirtificate but only applicable for NSW. Im specifically looking for someone who's seen over his work as they will have a understaning of what involved instead of starting from scratch.

    cheers
