    RRS TDV8 air con

    Hi guys,

Sorry I know this is not the right area to post but I've had no luck in the RR space.

Any one know where the drain nipple is on a 08 TDV8 air con the floor is getting wet but I can't find where the drain pipes are.

    Thanks

    Dan

Have you been having rain? If so, it is likely not the A/C drain tube. The sunroof drain pipes are notorious for blocking up or having the end which pokes throught the inner guard rot off. Both scenarios will give you a wet floor.

Make sure you sort the problem as there is a huge bundle of wiring under the left hand carpet with some suspect (not waterproof) joins that will give grief once corroded.

Thanks Big John but no rain up here at the moment it is defiantly from blocked air con drain pipes.

Have you done the mod issued by Landrover to fix the leaks the the windscreen pillars? Basically water comes in the clip holes where the external windscreen pillar trim clips to the pillar - especially the lowest elongated hole.

    Service bulletin here:

With the pollen filter in place it is unlikely your A/C drains are blocked. If you have a sunroof check the drains on that.

I had the leak in the pillar and just put new clips in with sealant around them - for the elogated hole I just put gaffa tape over the hole and put sealant around the clip so that when it punched through the tape the sealant sealed the hole. Not had the issue again.
