			defender not cranking

					Hi guys.
I have a bit of a drama with my 2008 puma defender. I drove to a job site as it is my work truck. Was on site for a 45mins. When I went to leave the starter would not turn over the motor. The solenoid would click in and sometimes it would give a half start. The battery is new and fully charged.. it would start with a push start and run fine. I have removed the starter and cleaned and serviced it. Works fine. All fuses seem to be ok. There is no power getting to the starter wire on the starter. Every now and again it will turn over properly and start. Atm I have a wire running from the starter terminal and with the ignition on I can start it fine by powering it up. Bit baffeling I must say. Any help would be much appreciated.

The list of where I'd look given the starter motor is working.
-It could be bad contacts for the starter relay.
 -A faulty relay.
 -Faulty ignition switch.

Just been through this EXACT thing myself.

Turned out to be really dirty contacts/possibly dodgy relay.Replaced and good to go.
