    Td5 ecu loom flushing issue

    Afternoon all
Has anyone had an issue where they can get no flow of either elec contact cleaner or metho through the injector to ecu loom? ( been a few hours now and nothing at all flowing)
The injector loom was changed 20k kms ago and I'm still getting occasional oil at the ecu plug and the resultant power loss,( the amount of oil at ecu plug is minute, but a quick spray solves the issue) could this just be a bit of residue oil working through?
    Any thoughts?

Agree its most likely a small amount of residual oil working through.

I had the same problem with Charlie, when the harness was replaced hen i bought him in 2012 . After a couple of additional cleans over a few months all has been fine for the last few years.

    Cheers

Yea , there's been no pooling at the ecu plug for months. It's never stoped the car suddenly ,and it's a 10 min job to spray the ecu plug ... if there's no change in the metho level tonight I'll leave sleeping dogs lie and just carry spray

Not a big issue realy , I use an electrical contact spray from supercrap auto
Changing the loom under the rocker cover is a quick easy job , any oil left in the loom workers it's way out... mines never not started and you can feel it not wanting to rev when the oils on the plugs.... 3 bolts on the ecu , remove and spray , spray the two connectors on ecu the engine loom to ecu is a pull of / spray replug . I iuse the same kind of stuff you would use to clean a mag meter but I've used metho as well as zippo fluid ... once you've cleaned them once it's a 4 Minuit job .i do it before a trip and haven't had an issue while away...the ecu loom( under rocker cover) is about 100 bucks and the gasket is rubber so reusable ..basically unplug 5 plugs to the injectors , bolt the connector in to its socket replace rocker cover n ur done
There's posts in the good oil on sealing the loom plug with resin or silicone to help stop it in the future.
Long as you know about it it's just a quirk
