Question Puma 2.4 - front brake pads and rotors minimum thickness

Anyone able to advise on the minimum thickness for the front brake rotors and pads on a 2011 Puma 2.4?

I read on the DBA Online Catalogue that the rotors start life at 24mm thickness and the wear limit is 22mm. Are the genuine rotors the same?

What about the brake pads? I cannot see a wear indicator slot in them which Eire means that they've worn too much or That they don't have one to start with...

The vehicle has traveled 60,000km and I would love to be able to put the job off until January, but not if it's going to be a safety issue or compromise the brake calipers due to the pistons being over exposed out.

Wear limit of 22mm is correct, pad min thickness is 3mm, that's assuming it's a 110 and not a 90. Genuine are the same.

Just replaced my front rotors and pads about a month or so ago.

It's a 90, not a 110. Is the front brake setup different? I had assumed they would be the same.

It is fitted with 4 piston calipers on the front. Looks like AP might have been the OEM supplier for them?

Despite whatever choices you make according to your risk profile I can guarantee you that on both solid and ventilated disc D1 & Defenders running them many many mm below the "min thickness" of the rotor there is absolutely zero chance of:
compromise the brake calipers due to the pistons being over exposed out

Sure chuck some new pads in if they are worn (min thickness of 3mm is a safe number) but discs down or close to min will be fine for a few more months. Pad only change takes longer to jack and take the wheel off than rest of the job combined.

    90s run solid front discs
    110 & 130s run ventilated front discs

    90s run slightly smaller rear calipers/discs than 110s & 130s

There are not that many caliper/disc/pad options for RRC/D1/Defender
two different front types and two different rear types.

Someone forgot to tell our 90 that because it has vented front setup. According to the DBA Catalogue 90's came with either solid or vented.

I've put the wheels back on the front rotors are nearing 22mm thick and the pads have about 5mm of lining on them so I'll order the parts and do it in the near future. I'm looking at using Bendix DB13054WD pads and either RDA86 rotors.

All 90s sold in aus have vented discs the szme as 110. The rear pads and doscs are same as disco 1
