    Interior Lights

I'm looking at finishing my interior refurbish, after removing the old roof lining that couldn't be re-used.

I'm going to do what I did in the 110 - use 25mm foam on the roof, and auto trim over the top. Before I do this, I want to install some more lights.

I'm thinking about LED strip lighting - cheap, fairly easy top install, and nice and bright. I thinking of putting lights in the back, so the kids can read, but need to ensure it doesn't bother the driver, so they would need to be directional to a degree. The only trick is, I want to keep the door switch functional for all lights, and also be able to independently switch on the rear lights.

Anyone done anything similar to this?

led strip light in place of the normal cab light wired into the normal light and then a pair of adjustable led spot lights with a relay some wire and a momentary switch configured to self latch and disengage when the door switch triggers.

What I did was go to 4wd super store and buy their camping Led light set and hard wired fitted that into the 110
Cost was about $40 and comes with wiring and switches
But great at a camp site because I can light up the whole inside of the car and turn on and off different ones as I want.

theres a purple(ish) one as well.

supposedly its better for LCD screened stuff while remaining just as good for paper.

    I used these
MINIATURE EYEBALL COCKPITLIGHT - GREEN from Aircraft Spruce - comes in White, Red and green.
    Here how they look installed
    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-t...ml#post2473676

I used the white, (it's really a fair bit of yellow in it) as a mate had these in his aircraft and they worked a treat. Bright enough for SHMBO to read a book but doesn't effect my night vision. They swivel about 30? off centre but need a bit of room behind them to do so
I think i've got a couple of extra kicking around if you want to test them out.

I've got a couple of these that i tried and pulled back out.
    Narva 87654 10-30V 1W L.E.D Interior Swivel Lamp with Off/On Switch

But they are way too bright for map reading lights, more like surgery lights.

I took the supply from my house battery so that they wouldn't drain the main battery and I could still use them with the ignition off, but that was fairly easy for me as I had it up there for my UHF and the USB sockets.

    Cheers Glen
