Recommendations for LT230 rebuild in Illawarra/Sydney

    Hey guys,

Not too sure if this is the right spot in the forum but does anyone have any recommendations for a workshop to install an ashcroft intermediate shaft, and rebuild and fit a ashcroft ATB to a LT230.

Illawarra or Southern Sydney would be ideal.

    Cheers Mick

I use KLR at South Windsor - maybe a little further away than you want?

Award Diffs in Seven Hills do a lot of LR stuff and do the Dealership warranty work. They rebuilt my maxi locker (locking teeth were shot) with no complaint.

Adrian Shaw automotive (mobile mechanic from Waterfall) who is ex Graeme Cooper. He does all my work both on the Landy and Volvo.

There is a mechanic in Fairymeadow that is apparently a LR expert. I can't recall his name but if you call E Randall Mechanic in Church St Wollongong he will have the name.

Give Adrian a call 0409 985 624. He can either do it or will be honest enough to point you to someone he trusts.

the fairy meadow mechanic might be Georges' Auto Prestige. Can't offer any feedback on workmanship.

any automatic transmission workshop should have the skill to rebuild a LT230. I have the LT230 workshop manual if needed. Or you can buy the RAVE disk from Dave's shop for your own collection. It's handy to have on your iPad when touring and need to work through a gremlin.
