Thread: 2.2 130 driveline noise

G'day All
ive got a my13 130 Iv had for just over a month with 75k on the clock, it's developed a sort of ticking noise that becomes more obvious above about 30 and seems to disappear when the clutch is depressed. Seems to come and go and is evident in all gears. Also the transfer case has developed a lreasonable leak, wondering if it's related. Any input would be appreciated.

If it goes away when you depress the clutch, it sounds like a clutch release bearing mate... a common noise on a Defender.

The leak would probably be a different issue??
