I've been following this build thread over here since 2014, makes very good reading.

Impressive. But what's it weigh
He's got everything that opens and shuts.
In the recovery gear, personally I'd ditch the dinky little spade, axe and bow saw and replace them with a long handled posthole shovel, a long crowbar and a battery powered chainsaw.

Three years to prep a Defender for a long drive - seriously?
How long does it take to do a service, pack a swag, stove, food and clothes and fill up with fuel?
