Thread: frozen A/C pipes

The condensate drain is probably blocked. (if the fan is working ok)

Piece of plastic whipper snipper string up the pipe from below the vehicle.

If it's a 2.2 Puma you might want to check that the "Evap coil is freezing - turn off the compressor " switch is still connected to the Evap coil

It's a TD5 but thanks anyway

Might seem like a silly question but where exactly is the drain pipe/hose located?

Passenger side, it's a piece of plastic tube that drops down through the firewall, I think near the LH chassis rail ?

Been too long since I've been under a Deefer.

Rick is correct as to the location of the drain. The other thing that has served me well, is the advice from the auto electrician, to adjust the temperature setting so that their coming from the vents is no cooler than 4˚C. I've fitted a small digital temperature gauge there to inform me.

Freezing can also occur from short of gas
