Could gold leaf for electrical conections be an idea?

Ive bought a 2002 defender that was a little neglected but has come up a treat after a little attention but electrical conections is something I always seem to be dealing with just today I finally found out what was cousing my hadbrake, abs and tc warning lights to always be on seems it was the connections at the wabco ecu

Could it be helpful to carfully paint the conections with gold leaf to improve connection and reduce corrosion?

Can-bus connector contacts are generally gold plated but for contacts not used for digital signals a spray with contact lubricant is usually all that's needed. Contact lubricant coats the metal to prevent oxidation.
