Bucket seats in rear of Defender 130 cab?

Has anyone replaced the OEM 60/40 split seats with bucket seats in rear of a Defender 130 cab?

If so, what seats did you use?
    How did you mount them?
Did you need to get the change engineered?

Pictures would be very ,much appreciated too.

    Cheers

I would have thought a fair few people might have done this over the years?
    Evidently not.

I watched a video on YT where someone fitted some late model Defender seats to the back of a County era hardtop and it was absolutely terrifying how weak their brackets / anchors were. Very dangerous...

I am thinking about it, basically replace the 60+40 with two front seats along with cubby. I reckon you will have to fashion a mount/adopter that will bolt to the existing mount points. I am even day dreaming of a watertank(removing the existing floor and drop a custom tank) that the seats can bolt onto :P

I did it in my 110. Used rhs and mounted Defender buckets. Didn't get engineered or anything. It was far better mounted than the standard back seat.

I have a poly water tank which is custom built to fit in the underseat tool box in my 130. A few of us on AULRO got them years ago. I never got around to fitting mine before I sold my previous 130...or since I've had the current one... It's therefore as new.

I've decided to go a different way so its just sitting in my shed....

Do you still have the tank for sale? If so, how much will you sell it for.

I will be near Bracken Ridge on Saturday 2nd September so could have a look.

    I have a 2011 130 dual cab.

Yeah mate I can do that, I'll flick you a PM rather than derail the thread.

Exactly what I am thinking, looks Like with both seats down one can use that as a bed base for the kids also
