I was wondering where all the great shots were coming from!!!
A Sunday, some weeks ago now. Nothing abut this particular day was out of the ordinary at all. There was no polo to play or horses to ride as it was the off season, so I found myself at Bunnings in Marsden Park, fetching tools and parts for the things I needed that I hadn't finished on Saturday. Do you remember when you last had the time to spend a whole weekend tinkering? Unbridled joy.
I don't recall what I left the store with but I noticed a business card on the windscreen from a chap by the name of Tobey from 'Out There Images', asking if I'd be so kind as to give him a call. A quick look around Monty revealed no damage (that wasn't already there) so my first thought about him bumping into me in the car park and leaving his details was laid to bed....thus, out of curiosity, I rang him immediately.
He said that he wanted to do a photo shoot with Monty for Unsealed 4x4 - either for the website or to go in the magazine, or both. We booked in a few hours the following weekend and met up at the Zig Zag railway on Bells Line of Road, aired down and then headed out into the tracks there for some fun and games.
Really nice bloke and his girlfriend made for an awesome assistant too as their job is hard with several cameras. I think I broke one of his GoPros that was stuck to the rear corner - some decent rocks out there! Despite the wind he managed to get the drone out for a few shots and to 'lock on' to me and follow me around for a while.
He can't tell me yet which magazine edition it'll be in but he sent me the link to the collection. Update your browser to use Google Drive - Google Drive Help
MODS - feel free to move this to a more appropriate location if needs be.
Cheers
Bobby
