Thread: What purchases have you made for your Defender lately?

Been fitting a few things to my 300Tdi 110 project vehicle. Terrifirma heavy duty hubs on the front ( heavy duty hubs/axels for the rear arrive next month). A 10,000 lbs winch installed in the ARB bar but not wired up yet. LED replacement indicators/side and brake light kit from Bearmach (Wipac). The indicator and side lights didnt work at first and after some research via the Land Rover workshop videos I cut and reversed all the cables as the are apparently polarity sensitive. So red/black now. All working well except I need to install the new relay to slow the flash rate down from ballistic strobe mode. Took the internal fuse panel off to access the old relay and found a scary mess. Need to investigate this further and try and understand what the PO has done. Also replaced the lower rear suspension bushes. Was unable to budge the old bushes with my 12 ton press, so pressed out the middle then cut with a hack saw and finally used a cold chisel to get it out. Cleaned up with a flap wheel. A bit of grease and the new bushes went in a breeze. Upper bushes and the A ball joint next....

I bought 60 litres of diesel for my Defender. Does that count?

I've been wanting to do this for ages, so I finally ordered some JW Speaker LED had light inserts. At $1200 Per pair, they are definitely a luxury item, but what an amazing difference they make.
I connected the parking lights but not the DRLs as I'd have to create a new circuit for that.

I have purchased a bonnet mount spare wheel kit for my 300 Tdi project vehicle from SP Global Spares in the UK (as per other thread here). STC 7633, but supplies without instructions and I am having difficulty figuring out how to correctly install it. Any ideas?
