Thread: Defender tow bar

Does anyone know where I can get one of these...? To fit one of these as would like to keep the original tow bar... and I need a 50mm receiver.

You can get light duty tow bars for Pajeros that fit that bolt pattern - rated to 1200kg - here, but they are a shank rather than a 50mm receiver because then the manufacturer can control the amount of cantilevering on the four bolts. If you give people a receiver they'll put a tongue with a massive drop or length into it and it will all go pear shaped. I wouldn't tow anything over 1200kg cantilevered off those four bolts, even with a shank.

Yes the picture is from the states, had a pintle hook on before but only towing a Sankey, next trailer is 1500kgs max so agree Hayman Reese type it is I guess...
