Rear lighting faults = loom damage

For those with Defenders with high offroad kms and persistent light faults .Rear lighting faults = loom damage-wire-loom-1.jpg

This may be the cause of your issues . My 130 has 300 000 plus kms and problems with the rear light circuit. Frustrated by the faults I removed the wire loom from the right hand chassis rail ( left a pull wire behind).
Found 7 rub through points and 2 damaged / exposed wires ( break and LH indicator).
Will repair the breaks , re wrap the loom but not put it back in the chassis. Plenty of room to run it along the chassis rail in tube wrap.
