SupporterHi I have been getting some bad noise from my running gear when going up steep inclines. But Not at any other time really. It sounds like cogs slipping. Not nice.
I was under the car the other week & saw that there is a hole in the chassis under the gearbox & a thread in the gearbox casing.
Just wondering if there is a bolt that was not installed there. 2015 defender.

Sounds like it could (hopefully) be the traction control working. Did you notice a light on the dash at the time?
As Toxic says, there's no bolt in that cross member.
