Have you contacted Daniel......pretty sure all roofs are re-sprayed during the conversion
OK JLR supplied and fitted a new roof to my old Fender without much hassle, even painted it a different colour on my request. I also scored a bunch of door hinges and bolts etc which was handy.
Now with my new pop top I have the same alpine window bubbling and some other places also. Anyone secured warranty support on modified poptop roofs from JLR??
Note poptop owners: I suspect the pinchweld seals used by Mulgo has steel strip in them which will rust and corrode the aluminium it is attached to.
Advise Needed:
I want to (chemically strip the roof > sandblast) to bare metal (quote $800) chemically treat it and have it repainted (Quote $1000). Any one done it? see any issues with this thought process?
Also looking for aluminium pinchweld that will work the mulgo setup
Regards

I am going to see him when he gets back. Also the roof is part painted from join backwards, I say this because the rear half has two pack paint and the front is just solid white I think.
Now I was also wondering about JLR warranty regarding the usual alpine window bubbling etc due to inadequate priming of steel brackets close to the alpine windows, similar to what I had with my old truck. Will they entertain me if I approach them for warranty claim? Anyone done it?
I seriously doubt they will warranty anything to do with the roof with those modifications.
You could only ask...
Same here, but I want to rectify this before it gets any worse warranty or no warranty.
I’ve have met the team that does the painting for Daniel and they seem very professional and if they painted the whole roof including around the safari windows than I recon they would want to known.
