Id like to know more about the diffs...probably just the 4 pin heavy duty centre that has been a option on Defenders in the past.

Is the V8 just a Rover V8 based on the older ones from the 90/00's? Shame its not a LS3

150K pounds. I can think of a better setup you can do for less.

They are not "new" vehicles. They are buying and restoring used vehicles. They will still have the old VINs. They have no legal way to produce new Defenders.

The motor is the normally aspirated AJ133 5.0 V8 found in the D4, L322, L405, RRS, and numerous Jaguars. The supercharged version is found in the RRS, L405, Discovery SVX and numerous Jaguars. It seems like a big money gouge to me with the prices they are asking. The G63 AMG Mercedes is quite similar, has 4 doors is safer and cheaper.

Give it a year and there'll be a supercharged version for 200k! Shame there's no row your own option, only an auto.

The G Wagen will start to depreciate the moment you drive it out of the dealership though. I'd be willing to bet that anyone who buys one of these Defender V8s will be able to flip it the very next day for significantly more than they paid. Remember the 2 millionth Defender sold for over GBP400k, and it wasn't a particularly special spec.

These are not new vehicles. They are buying low mileage trucks and doing a complete hand built frame up resto mod with many custom parts. They will be losing money. Trust me. This is not a factory build.
