About 99% finished the stage-2 of the rear of my Defender - converting the rear storage/drawer setup I had to a setup that I can now sleep in but also still be able to pick up the kids from school if req'd. Managed to use some of my previous drawer setup as well, so that kept the cost and time down....
Now, I've just got to go for an overnighter somewhere to test it out :)
Robmacca, that looks pretty much exactly like how I plan on doing my bed, could you post a photo of how it folds?

Ah, sliding forward instead of folding, that will make things much easier to fit, cheers!
On Tuesday, when I went to town, I flashed my lights to greet a Defender coming the other way - and the multifunction switch went all floppy and it stayed on high beam. On Wednesday I ordered a new switch, which arrived this morning.
So I proceeded to pull the dashboard apart and remove steering wheel and the steering column shroud, after disconnecting the battery. Then remove the light switch, leaving it hanging, and then the wiper switch, leaving it hanging. Then simply disconnect the plug, loosen the clamp screw and lift off the multifunction switch. Haha!
It took two goes with WD-40 and forty-five minutes to get the plug undone.
Fitting the new switch was quick and simple, a bit more with three fiddly screws fitting the wiper switch - then as I was starting to fit the light switch something did not look right (see picture). Take it all off again for a closer look. This revealed that one of the fixed contacts in the switch, I think, high beam, was floating round loose.
Of course, by this time the supplier has gone home for the weekend. Needless to say, the new switch was in a box clearly labelled "Lucas"!
Not happy! Looks like the 2a into town next week.

The supplier of the Switch has just agreed to send me a replacement - they asked the question "Was it a Lucas Part"!
All I could say is that it came in a Lucas box, but on closer examination, it actually has Lucas on the part as well, although it is easily overlooked, as the colour used is low contrast on the cadmium plated frame of the switch.
