Finally got around to installing the Shingleback Sill Tank in my Defender 110. Just got to get around to filling it up to see what it holds....
I ended up installing a 2nd Filler just below the Passengers Door but using a 50mm size filler made it a bit more harder due to the short piece of hose required and the angles involved to mate them up, but I eventually got it to fit.... but I'm a bit concerned on the pressure I need to use to get the hose & fittings to mate up, so I'll be watching for any signs of fatigue on the filling point and the joint into the tank.... Time will tell though.... If I could have found a more flexible hose I think it would have made it easier but I went with what I could find....
Decided to go with a simple setup of just using a facet pump feeding back into the Main Tanks Breather hose as well as teeing the Aux Tank Breather hose into the Main Tank too. I decide not to install a Fuel gauge at this stage and will just switch the facet on and hopefully rely on the time it takes to pump 70ltrs across which should be around 30mins or so.....

. The new one drew bugger all compared to the old unit over the weekend. After Dyna matting and carpeting the front footwells and seat box over the Christmas break, I got the Db meter out and at 100km/h, recorded 83Db. And in the falcon ute at work, at 100km/h I recorded 81Db. Sweet!
