Recommended Machine Shop Perth, Western Australia

Wondering if anyone knows of or has had any great work done by any machine shops in the Perth area?
I’m looking at getting my cam bearings replaced in my 300tdi and possibly have the block bathed.
I know most shops would probably be capable but I don’t have time for error and would prefer a shop with rover experience!

    All feedback appreciated!

The 300 is pretty well the most simple old school puahrod design engine out there

    Rover experience un necessary

Just find a good old school shop - nothing fancy needed
But I’d take the crank and cam
Let them measure it all up and decide ifncrank needs linishing or grinding

Offer still stands for inside bits

It’s a little bit of a drive but Galloway Engines in Pinjarra have a good reputation with the classic car clubs here.

    cheers

    Thanks for the responses lads.
Fair point on the Land Rover experience suppose for them an engines an engine. Although nothing worse than going somewhere that slags off land rovers the entire time. Would rather spend my money elsewhere!!

The cylinder bores are more than within spec for ovality and taperRecommended Machine Shop Perth, Western AustraliaRecommended Machine Shop Perth, Western Australia. So they’ll be getting a hone. I’d do the cam bearings myself but apparently special tooling is required and the the alignment has to be spot on.

I’ll leave that to the experts Recommended Machine Shop Perth, Western Australia. Will be ringing around tomorrow starting with Galloway
