AlertMe Defender Modification - Australian compliance needed

    Hi Defender Forum,

I have installed some after market seats in the Defender 110 and this has 'exacerbated' the old Hand brake on your left leg 'thing'.

after doing some research there is some discussion and videos about a D2 LandRover mod which places the handbrake close to the LHS driver seat. I have heard this create some challenges with Aust Compliance etc..

any 1 had any experience - red flags etc...?

I wouldn't have thought it would be a "compliance" issue with the hand brake but it may have required engineering.
Have you talked to an automotive engineer about this?

Oh, there are ADRs relating to seating. Changing seats to those used in a different model vehicle may require engineering for compliance with the ADRs. Again, have a chat with an automotive engineer.

I think LRA sell a spacer which goes in behind the hand brake lever to angle it to the left without having to relocate it.
