Thread: Roof Rack - 130 Single Cab Chassis

I'm looking to carry a second spare tyre - and wondering what the pro's and con's of using a gutter mounted roof rack e.g. frontrunner are?

I'd be thinking of putting on the rack or load bars for use only when I'm heading out traverse tracks.

I'd appreciate your collective wisdom.

Can you mount on top of the camper box?

I have a Front Runner on my dual cab just for the second spare and fishing rods.
Primarily because my camper folds out and the roof (closed) becomes the floor (open)
It’s pretty hard to overload a single cab rack with too high c of g.
IMO so long as your gutter mounts are of good quality eg not generic cheap stuff, you shouldn’t have any problems.
