    This is fun

Installed the TF Drive flanges on the rear, there was some play in the old ones. One went on easily, the other was a bit tricky and needed some persuading.

Then as I was cleaning up I noted another problem, the 3rd brake light wasn’t working. My multimeter showed a bad ground (they are grounded to the rear defrost inlay).

I joined a wire to the defrost ground with a new spade, tucked it up behind the seal all the way up and around to the brake light using tiny strips of double sided foam tape and made a heat shrink butt join with the socket.

I now have a brake light. I’ve been replacing all my bulbs with 30 led units.

New headlights this weekend, it’s going to be a laser and light extravaganza.

Owning a Defender is fun...you get to fix broken things all the time 😐

Would be interested in seeing photos of the headlight/brake light LED upgrade. Where did you source them from?

    Cheers
