Yep, sounds like a low battery in the more-used fob.
A minor problem that I think I'm going to answer my own question on, but will post anyway...
My indicators give three flashes when you lock the car with the fob - this occurs either when you lock it, or push the lock button to check it's locked. And, the car locks fine.
But, when you push the unlock button, the indicators do NOT flash - the interior lights fade up, the car unlocks no problem, but no flash of the indicators.
Now, I have tried the spare fob, and I get both lock and unlock flashes.
Is this the car's way of telling me my fob battery is getting low, and I better change it? And, I do note I have reduced range on the "problem" fob. BTW, it's the "every day" fob that has the problem, and the "spare" fob that works.
[And as I type this, reading back, yeah, I think I am answering my own question... low fob battery... But confirmation appreciated!]

Hi,
Not a definitive answer I'm afraid, but mine stopped flashing on unlock for a while and then without changing fob batteries it now works again.
Possible influences.
I did have the crank battery out some time before I noticed it wasn't flashing.
I had charged the crank battery before I noticed it was working again.
Now I wonder why after installing driving lights, the blue high beam dash light doesn't work any more.
Grrrrrr!
Cheers

SupporterMy 2012 has never flashed with either 'the everyday' fob or the spare. Locks work fine (most of the time). Maybe i should change the batteries as probably the originals.
Cheers

Yep, fob battery getting low
<SmackOwnHead emoticon>... I should have RTFM... I opened it for the battery change procedure and right there it says that the indicators won't flash on unlock if the battery is low... It also says that it will take two clicks to unlock if it's low battery, which it did... Ah well.
Anyhow, battery changed as per the process, all good, problem solved, indicators now flash as expected. Thanks again to those who responded, hope this helps someone else.
