					Td5 130
Failed to crank once last week-assumed starter motor terminals needed redoing after 5 years.
Planned to check this weekend when BIL comes down to play with his Puma and new 2nd hand Nanocom(which was the source of some trouble last week here and on gumtree I believe....)
All good til this morning at the bottom of a very steep driveway.
 Dead starter
Had the joy of getting pulled to the top of drive by a 79 series v8 ute(with a very modded exhaust and donk-**** they sound good).
 Roll started no probs.
Parked on hills or left it runningfor the other jobs i had to go to.
Got home put up on ramps
 Went to get starter out.
 Top bolt ......grrrr..
Somehow knocked/broke thread casting on one of the fuel pressure reg pipe inlets.
So, inlet manifold off, starter out, fuel pressure reg out
New fuel pressure reg in (had a new one waiting to go in one day -thnx Mario)
Starter stripped and cleaned and back in.
Manifold back on with the spare new gasket.
 Battery hook up
 Bleed / purge
 Fired up instantly
 Joy
 Bed by midnight

Sorry to hear that Wes but its your own fault. Your trouble started the second I rang to tell you about my fuel sender issues a few weeks ago and you smugly said "Cant believe you have another problem with the defender, I never have any troubles, i just get in and drive it..." Foolish words around a defender.

Please tell me this doesn't impact our defender day on Sunday and force me to spend family time with your sister
