    Foam strip on side sill - purpose???

    Does anyone know purpose for the foam strip that sits between the side sill and the floor channel?

    Is it just a finishing component or maybe there is some reason behind it.

    In a MY13 TDCi, it's there to keep the water that seeps from your aircon unit under the floor matting so there is a corrosion loop set up.

    Because Land Rover were too lazy to make the panels actually fit properly.

    Sandwiched between the aluminium floor panel and steel sill? Would be a good thing.
