					I after opinions on which set of gears to go with.
 I am rebuilding a HD diff and swapping my maxidrive into it after traveling up the CSR with a bent diff a few years ago.
 The set i have are from a 85 county with around 400k on them. but looking at them, there are 6 teeth that the hardfaceing has peeled.
 The rest of the teeth and pinion are fine and nicely polished.
 The set that came with the HD diff has unknown history, ex army. It has a speedi sleeve on the flange seal and all
 the teeth are rough instead of polished, like it had not been using ep oil and had started picking up.
 The HD was stripped and has no shims with it, so both would need pinion height set up from scratch.
 1st 2 pics are matching rough surfaces & 3rd is the peeling hardfacing.

					haven't decided which are worse so now I will open up the spare diff I am using now to check its condition.
 If it is better it means my county is off the road until I have it finished.
 (Takes me a long time to do anything)
 Can anyone suggest best place to get shims from?
 I've never set pinion height before, but got to learn sometime, tips welcomed!!

					Seeing I need to replace axle shafts, anyone have thoughts of best way to do a disc barake conversion?
 I have read the conversion thread and was going that way, but now wondering if I would be better off getting standard 110/130 disc set up and hi tuff axles to suit.
