    Central Locking

The passenger side rear door central locking does not work. (2003 TD5).

Checked this forum and took the advice offered - that is, check the continuity of the harness adjacent to the B pillar. Turns out, its ok - no physical damage and proper continuity.

Next step was to confirm that the door solenoid works - it does, up and down like a champion.

Bit more checking indicates that only one of the two wires (pink and yellow) at the B pillar junction, shows a voltage when I cycle the central locking.

    So, does anyone

have a suggestion regarding the fault?

know how or where the rest of the central locking harness is routed through the vehicle?

Thanks in advance for your help.

One would assume the other wire would be negative and wire polarity reversed when opposite command is required.

If the solenoid works, and you're getting voltage where you should, then I would check the connector is clean and not damaged. Could be as simple as a loose pin or corroded terminals.

Another suggestion is peer testing the solenoid, swap it out for a known working one and see if that functions in its place, or take the potentially faulty one and plug it in at a door that is known to work and see if it functions.
