    Limp mode list

My 03 defender occasionally has what I can only describe as a reduced throttle response if I give it the full boot.
Only fault I get logged is the noisy crank angle sensor.
I am assuming it is some sort of limp mode.
All back to normal if I kill the engine and restart, any ideas?
    Tia.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Usually that sounds like a turbo overboost situation, should log an error though, even if restarted

    Limp mode list

Sorry was posting on my phone and didnt read the whole post about CPS fault
Its quite common for the wires on the CPS to get damaged when the clutch is changed if you have a look at the plug at around 2 o'clock on the bell housing when viewed from the rear.
Have a look at the plug and see if the wires are messed up this could cause what you have.
If you replace the whole wiring loom from the CPS to the ECU you will need to use shielded cable.
Also if you have an un reported over boost problem make sure the boost box is working (you should have one on the VNT)

check live maf reading next time it happens, it won't log a fault if it goes over its limit ( around 670-680 ) but will reduce fuelling.

This is a possibility and is easily fixed in the map
