    Defender Branding West Coast Tasmania

    Hi guys,

I have had a great deal of fun working with a film crew in the last few days. We have used drones, stills, and video capturing my Defender in a range of locations around Queenstown Tasmania. It is for a 'branding' exercise for tourism and lifestyle here on the west coast of Tas. There was a call out a while back for for an 'iconic looking four wheel drive' and I responded and shared some pics of my Defender. The producers liked it, and it will be used in the advertising campaign. So nice to see how our Defenders are loved and appreciated by so many in the community. It's also been an eye opener for me how people in the big cities view life out here in the remote parts of Tasmania. I'll upload some drone footage of some off -road stuff when I get it!

I took them up some slippery clay stuff. My rig has open diffs but good articulation. 20psi, centre locked, 2nd gear, low range. We made it. First time I'd done this track with so many ppl (4 adults) in the car. So nice to hear hoots and excitement. Cityfolk on the defender!! Woohoo

Is that a locally supplied hardtop? We saw heaps both 110s and 90s in the UK with panels instead of windows but yours is the first 4 door 110 I've seen in oz with a panel rear.
    Nice shots by the way

Mine is just a normal 110 wagon but the rear windows were taken out and aluminum panels put over and painted to suit. Pretty popular modification in the UK. They call it a 110 utility wagon. On the inside I have cargo barrier behind the rear seats so i have a nice cargo area to stack gear or a load of wood or whatever. I had to sacrifice those back seats so it's now a 5 seater not 9. Behind the Al panels i have styrofoam coverd by carpet. You'd look inside and never know it wasn't original as the carpet is same grey as roof carpet. Works well for me. Great in bush too as scrub can just scrape its way past. Oh, and no rattley bloody windows.

    Looks great Landy Red!
Seems like you might have had some influence on the illustrators from the agency too
