    Weird clunk

    Hello all
So my defender is doing the weirdest of all defender things. When I’m driving in the rain (yes it leaks) I get a loud clunk when braking or pulling off. When it’s dry nothing!

What’s worse is I can’t work out if it’s coming from the front or the rear.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers Mal

Will look at that but it only happens when it’s been raining.

I'd guess a worn bush. Plenty of them on a Defender. When it is wet it will move easier. Try looking at radius and trailing arms (both ends) and the A frame.
