SubscriberHas anyone got these Mud Blind Spot Mirrors ?
Just wondering how you find them, quality wise, and functionality.
They are physically bigger than the standard mirrors, has this been a problem at all.
The small mirror is fixed, how have you found the angle for vision.

I got a pair. Admittedly, I haven't done any hard offroad since fitting but I reckon they're great. Vibrate a bit but anything with only one mount is bound to vibrate. Doesn't annoy me at all but others here find it hard to live with.Originally Posted by rijidij

Bit off topic/alternative option, but which I find gives me even better coverage.
Only $20 at AutoBarn and come in left and right versions, with both bits easily adjustable to suit differing circumstances/preferences.

I have a set (2) on my Perentie 4x4
I have done some tight off roading where they have been struck by branches a few times and 2 long road trips (gravel and asphalt) to Tassie and the NSW outback.
They work well, stay where you put them (and fold away when struck without damage!) and the blind spot mirror works well if they are adjusted correctly.
I would recommend them.

I just use the round bubble/eye balls, they work just fine and you get to keep your OEM mirrors.

I wiped out the left OEM mirror on my 2011 130 when I reversed out of the shed in too big a hurry. I bought a flat mirror to replace it but lost too much blind spot and load monitoring capacity so I bought one of these Mud mirrors. I have done a heap of travelling with a fair bit on some of the toughest roads I’ve been on. The Mud mirror has been bloomin marvellous. Very happy with it.

SubscriberI have these fitted on a set of extended arms. I also have the heating pads.
They do vibrate. I think more of my vibration is in the arm than the mirror, but there is definitely movement there.
The larger mirror takes some getting used to the first couple of glances. It DOES offer more coverage. I found I have set my mirrors a little further "out" than I otherwise normally would, in order to take advantage of the blind spot mirror and not waste it staring st the side of my truck. They can be mounted either way up. I have the smaller mirror on the bottom. I have not tried it on the top to see if that makes a difference but have seen people with them mounted that way.
They are tough and fold themselves in no worries.
MUD make their own arm.now and when it comes out in the extended length, I will probably look at getting a set.
Overall, I am happy with the mirrors and have found them to be a worthwhile investment.

Hi,
With an extended arm and standard mirrors, I have had to modify the arm hinge to try and prevent it being blown back with highway truck wind blast.
I like the idea of the bigger mirrors, but the bigger surface would add to the problem.
I have found a rear view camera a great asset.
