The turbo on my 200Tdi 110 ute has a lot of side play and somehow all the fins on the back of the intercooler have been damaged.
New, Reconditioned & Remanufactured & Turbo Rebuild Parts have 3 CHRA options.

I’m not really needing extra power and not keen on over stressing it without replacing the piston rings and bearings.
Do I replace it with a standard CHRA or upgrade to a Hybrid or Hybrid Stage 1 cartridge?
I don’t know what to do about the intercooler either. Allisport provides 3 upgrade options as well!

Side play is normal. That is how the bearings are designed. As long as the compressor does not hit the housing it is fine.

A few of the Td5 crew have gone the Hybrid chra my self inc and are very happy with the result
I feel it will not over stress your engine as the gains are minor but are noticeable in the Td5 and guessing should be the same on a 200Tdi
