New ones don't shimmy[emoji6]
Never had s problem with shimmy with the ex's GQ or GU, but we only ran 265/75/stock sized tyres too.
I did get the front end on the GU aligned with eccentric bushes in the swivels to increase castor and that stopped the wanders and pulling to the left, which most live axle 4wd's suffer from, including Defenders.
D2's actually don't seem to pull to the left, but their front end geometry is radically different to the RRC/D1/Deefer with more castor and dramatically greater KPI.
I get the feeling it is more of a personal choice here aesthetics nothing to do with the dynamics or mechanical reliability ect.[wink11]
Some say they are boring and no character but some characters still drive them[bigwhistle]
I get it as i remember when Discos first appeared how boring they were and i used to call them assholes as everyone had one [bighmmm]
But as the early Discos have aged they are not as common anymore[smilebigeye]
Nailed it. Personal choice. I dislike Discoveries intensely.
