Defender vs 80 series cargo space

I met a really old German bloke in Thailand who had married a 25 year old Thai. He was splashing money around, so her family were quite happy with the arrangement. Might turn sour if his money runs out though...

I just read though this Thread. I notice there is no mention of Payload. I put this to you as a question. Which vehicle has the greatest payload? You can pack them to the gunnels but if you are over payload insurance won't pay out if you have an accident.
