			 2003 TD5 Defender 110 leaking coolant 2003 TD5 Defender 110 leaking coolant

need help to identify the leak...

On Saturday Engine temp goes high, the gauge move to red area, check expansion tank and its lack of coolant,
while I add coolant to expansion tank immediately can see water drip to to the ground, found the coolant leak from engine driver side, from upper engine block, need look from under the fuel cooler(fuel cooler no leak), I'm thinking is the head gasket?

As I pour water into expansion tank, can see it leak immediately...

Engine temp going to red zone is never good on a TD5 and I would likely prepare for a head check and gasket change regardless.

Near the FPR there are some hoses, from the fuel cooler around the back of the block. You could have sprung a leak there. You said fuel cooler not leaking but check the hoses that go from the fuel cooler and also the expansion tank.

If you are filling without the engine on (sorry, didn't read it in the post you had and on mobile), then I would say it's a significant hole to leak without pressure (from a crack in head or head gasket blown) - my guess is hose leak somewhere there - but due to the temp you had the engine at I would prepare for the worst.

Sorry in advance if I have caused alarm for no reason, but if it isn't me someone will probably say it. Td5s don't like having the temp get into the red zone.
