    Alarm module wiring

I had the dashboard out of my Puma on the weekend. As i was refitting I noticed a single white wire floating around with no connector or lug on the end of it. I assumed I must have ripped it off during the proceedure and have been trying to work out what it is for and where it connects to. It is from pin 26 on connector C0061 on the Alarm module. I'm now starting to suspect (hope) that it is an internal antenna for the FOB and doesn't actually connect anywhere in particular. The wire itself is 'lagged' in cloth tape which I'm guessing is an anti-vibration measure. Can someone confirm or debunk??????

Pretty sure I’ve read that owners have either extended or reposition the wire to increase the distance the fob works.

    Yes antenna for the 10as.
Extend it and wrap it around the dash bar.

I can unlock my defender 50m away. Previously maybe 2m
