It’s stuffed.....trade it in on a troopy pop top it on you’re on your way.

My 2014 Defender has developed what looks like excessive C pillar flex behind the passenger door. As you can see in the photos, the drivers side bulges out, while passenger side is more flush. The drivers side C Pillar flexes more when the door is shut too.
Collective wisdom? ...How much C pillar flex is acceptable? ...has anyone reinforced their C pillar?

On a serious not is it the same both sides?
Don’t recall seeing anything like that....no bracing missing from factory??

Mine actually have developed water leakage from driver side C pillar. The aluminum delaminated it appears. I just presss some silicone inthe gap

No Tojo for me Weeds. They’re not handmade for a start!
I know you’re looking for a reason to drive one. 😊 I can’t recommend it.
No the the passenger side is fine, it’s the drivers side. It’s bulging out a bit at the joint between body and window. I’ll try take better photos. I’m not sure if it’s just s quirk or a problem. But it does seem to flex more when closing the rear passenger door.

So is yours different on one side than the other?
Or does the C pillar move the same amount both sides when you close the doors?
I think some flex there is normal, but my drivers sides sits permanently further out at the joint and seems to flex more. Might be just it’s handmade nature, or I might have to take the cover panels off and see if I can tighten it up.
Yes. Driver side C Pilar leaked water. Symptoms was mysterious puddles of water in the middle of second row floor
Now mine has six point roll cage. I thought it's because the roll cage is square but the defender is not and hence the problem
I suspect yours is due to carrying load on the roof?
